Scientist at the Center for Advanced Studies of Blanes - CSIC. Coordinator of the LOOP. I'm a limnologist. My research is focused on the biogeochemistry of aquatic systems. In particular, I'm interested in the identification of the effects of environmental changes on the biogeochemical processes in high mountain catchments.

Ecologist and limnologist who uses empirical and theoretical approaches to study ecological dynamics across scales. Present research interest divides into two main areas: Global Change Ecology and Evolutionary Ecology.

Graduated in Biology (Universitat de Barcelona, 2010) and Master in Fundamental and Applied Ecology (Universitat de Barcelona & Universitat de Girona, 2012). In summer 2009 I started my collaboration with the LOOP participating in the project ACOPLA, the context in which I finally did my master thesis focused on quantitative and qualitative changes in dissolved organic matter (DOM) during intense hydrological episodes (snowmelt and stormflows) in high mountain catchments. Since November 2011 I’m working in my PhD thesis, in the context of project NITROPIR, studying nitrification process in high mountain lake catchments, both in water column and soils. For this purpose I’m monitoring intensively these environments along the annual cycle using analytical, molecular and isotopic methods.
