Currently the study and monitoring of global change is performed through the collaboration of international networks. LOOP is in contact or  member of several of these networks:

- ILTER (International Long Term Ecological Research) and its branch LTER-Europe, which includes nodes for long-term ecological research worldwide. LOOP is a founding member of the node LTER- Aigüestortes integrated into these networks.

- MRI (Mountain Research Initiative), a worldwide network of scientific exchange among researchers. LOOP specifically involved in a discussion group on mountain lakes in the  mountain.TRIP platform.

- ICP Waters (International Cooperative Programme on Assessment and Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects on Rivers and Lakes), of the Economic Committee for Europe of the United Nations. For over a decade, LOOP provides results to the central database of the program to document the effects of atmospheric pollutants transported over long distances on aquatic ecosystems.

- GLEON (Global Lake Ecological Observatory Network) is a network of ecological observatories in lakes around the world which emphasizes the development of technology for the observation at  high-frequency and in real time. LOOP was involved in the implementation of a model for predicting ice-covered lakes and contributes to physical and meteorological data measured at Lake Redon.

-GBIF (Global Biodiversity Information Facility) is a cyber-infrastructure that provides free and open access to biodiversity data on the planet. LOOP is participating as a provider of data from its monitoring.
